Travel not recommended advisories issued for Dec. 18

A travel not recommended advisory has been issued for the TransCanada Highway between Mortlach and Chaplin because of zero visibility and swirling and drifting snow.

The Saskatchewan Ministry of Highways and Infrastructure's Highway Hotline website is listing nearly all Saskatchewan roads under the winter conditions category, with snow causing reduced visibilities.

The Southwest is forecast to receive up to two centimetres of snow today, with winds of 30 kilometres per hour with gusts up to 50.
