Calder found guilty of break and enter
Neil John Calder, 21, of 8 Fir St., Springhill, was sentenced to three months custody after being found guilty of one count each of break and enter, and
failing to comply with a probation order.
Calder was given the same three-month custodial sentence for each count, concurrent to one another yet consecutive to any sentences he's presently serving.
The incidents occurred March 29, 2009 in Springhill.
MacKay admits to conditional sentence order breach
Murray John MacKay, 56, of 10 Prince Arthur St., Amherst, and formerly of 19038 Highway 2, Nappan, was sentenced to
custody after admitting to a breach of a conditional sentence order.
MacKay was originally given an 18-month conditional sentence order in October 2008 after pleading guilty to one count of uttering threats to cause bodily harm
He was also given a three-month concurrent conditional sentence for failing to comply with a probation order.
In April 2009, MacKay admitted to breaching the order and had the order suspended. He was sentenced to 30 days in custody, with the conditional sentence order to resume following his release.
MacKay was in custody and appeared in court Feb. 15 on an allegation he breached the conditional sentence order once again, to which he acknowledged the following day.
MacKay's conditional sentence order was terminated and MacKay was ordered to spend the remaining 78 days in custody.
MacKay also entered guilty pleas to two additional counts of failing to comply with a probation order, and was sentenced to 30 days custody for each count, concurrent to one another and the other sentences imposed.
The probation breach incidents occurred Feb. 1 and 11 in Amherst.
Collins given probation
Diane Arlene Collins, 54, of 39 Yorke Brand Rd., Diligent River, was given a conditional discharge following six months probation after she changed her plea to guilty to one count of assault.
Collins' probation comes with reporting, as well as a $50 victim fine surcharge to have been paid the day of sentencing.
The incident occurred Nov. 5, 2009 in Diligent River.
