Jeffreys gets 30 days for breathalyser charge
David Malcolm Jeffreys, 29, of 11212 Highway 6, South Pugwash, was sentenced to 30 days custody after pleading guilty to one count of refusing the breathalyser.
Jeffreys will serve the sentence intermittently from 8 p.m., Fridays to 4 p.m., Sundays, and is to abide by a probation order with conditions when not in custody.
A 12-month driving prohibition was also enforced, and Jeffreys can apply for the ignition interlock device program after 90 days if he so chooses.
The incident occurred Nov. 14, 2009 in Fox Harbour.
MacLean fined for breaching probation, drug charge
Aaron Bruce MacLean, 19, of 4784 Main St., Oxford, was fined more than $700 after pleading guilty to one count each of failing to comply with a probation order and possession of marijuana.
MacLean was given a $500 fine and $75 surcharge, or eight consecutive days in custody, for the probation breach, and a $150 fine and $22.50 surcharge, or two consecutive days in custody, for the drug charge.
He has until Aug. 16 to pay the fines.
The incidents occurred Dec. 17, 2009 in Oxford.
Stevens changes plea
Dale Jacob Stevens, 21, of 3184 Hansford Rd., Hansford, was
given a suspended sentenced of four months probation after changing his plea to guilty to one count of failing to comply with an undertaking.
His probationary period comes with reporting and conditions, as well as 10 hours of community service work to be completed by the end of his probation.
The incident occurred Oct. 18, 2009 in Oxford.
