Murphy fined for dangerous driving
Dale Gerald Murphy, 45, of 115 Waverly St., Oxford, was fined $1,150 after pleading guilty to one count of operating a motor vehicle in a dangerous manner.
Murphy was given a $1,000 fine and $150 surcharge, or 17 days in custody, payable by Aug. 3.
He was also given two years of probation with conditions and a two-year driving prohibition.
The incident occurred May 31, 2009 in Pugwash.
Rector pleads guilty to marijuana production
Michael Robert Rector, 22, of 50 Crescent Ave., Amherst, was
given a conditional sentence order for 12 months after
entering a guilty plea to one count of unlawful production of marijuana.
Rector's conditional sentence comes with conditions, including 25 hours of community service work to be completed by Aug. 31.
A 10-year weapons prohibition was enforced.
The incident occurred July 5, 2009 in Amherst.
Gerrior sentenced to custody
Skyler Michael Gerrior, 18, of 18 Prince Arthur St., Amherst, was sentenced to 60 days in custody after pleading guilty to two counts of failing to comply with an undertaking and one count of prowling at night.
Gerrior was given 30 days custody for one undertaking breach, while the second charge saw 30 days of concurrent custody.
Prowling at night saw Gerrior sentenced to 30 consecutive days of custody.
The custody sentences will be served intermittently from 3 p.m., Saturdays to 7 a.m., Mondays.
During the week while not in custody, and for 12 months following the completion of the custodial sentences, Gerrior is to abide by a probation order with conditions.
The incidents occurred Feb. 1 in Amherst.
Arsenault to return for sentencing
Laurie Anthony Arsenault, 52, of 782 Southampton Rd., Amherst Point, will return for sentencing next month after changing his plea to one count each of
unlawful production of marijuana and careless storage of a firearm.
Arsenault's defence counsel and the Crown have requested a pre-sentence report.
He will return for the report and sentencing March 22 at 1:30 p.m.
The incidents occurred Aug. 14, 2009 in Amherst Point.
