McEachern pleads guilty to drug charges
Matthew Harlan Garnet McEachern, 23, of 144 Willow St., Amherst, was fined $1,380 after pleading guilty to one count each of possession of marijuana and possession of cannabis resin.
McEachern was handed a $1,000 fine and $150 surcharge, or 16 days in custody, for the marijuana charge, and a $200 fine and $30 surcharge, or three consecutive days in custody, for the cannabis resin charge.
McEachern has until Jan. 25, 2011 to pay the fines.
The incidents occurred Nov. 19, 2009 in Amherst.
McEown to return for sentencing
Brett McEown, 18, of 2724 Highway 242, River Hebert, will return for sentencing in March after pleading guilty to one count of assault on Monica Jollymore.
McEown's defence counsel has requested a pre-sentence report. McEown will return for the report and sentencing March 15 at 1:30 p.m.
The incident occurred Nov. 14, 2009 in River Hebert.
His undertaking has been continued.
Proctor found guilty of three charges
Sheila Proctor, 46, of 2023 Fort Lawrence Rd., Fort Lawrence, was given a conditional discharge following six months probation after being found guilty of three criminal charges.
Proctor was originally charged with one count of break, enter and assault, but was found guilty to an included offence of unlawful entry to a dwelling. She was also found guilty of one count each of assault on Evelina Duguay and assaulting a peace officer.
Her six-month probationary sentence comes with reporting and conditions.
The incidents occurred July 26, 2009 in Strathcona.
