WINDSOR, Ont. - Finance Minister Jim Flaherty says the government will stay the course in the next federal budget.
Flaherty is in Windsor, Ont., today holding pre-budget consultations.
On the way into the meeting, Flaherty said there will be no major new spending initiatives in the budget.
Instead, the minister says the government will continue with measures already announced to protect and create jobs.
He said the government plan has been working in southwestern Ontario, which has been hit hard, particularly with turmoil in the auto sector.
The federal budget is set for March 4. (CKLW)
