TRURO - If Stephen Harper comes to Colchester County this week it would be his first visit to the region as the prime minister.
Harper comes to the federal riding of Cumberland Colchester Musquodoboit Valley during many of his trips to Nova Scotia, as the Stanfield International Airport is included in the riding.
Harper has been in the riding before he became prime minister in February 2006.
He helped kick off the Halifax County Exhibition in 2005 with Colchester-Musquodoboit Valley MLA Brooke Taylor.
His last visit to Truro was in 2004 as the leader of the Conservative Party of Canada to speak during a Truro and District Chamber of Commerce luncheon.
