TORONTO - One of Canada's largest business associations has launched what's being called the first-ever "Red Tape Awareness Week."
The Canadian Federation of Independent Business says that businesses spend more than $30 billion annually to comply with government regulations.
The CFIB says a majority of business owners believes that the cost of regulatory red tape could be cut by 10 to 25 per cent without sacrificing the public interest.
