HALIFAX - Nova Scotia is considering a ban on pesticides for residential, public and commercial lawns.
Environment Minister Sterling Belliveau said Thursday that the government will seek input from the public over the next two months on forbidding the use and sale of non-essential chemicals used for cosmetic purposes.
Belliveau said he wants to hear all concerns over the proposed ban.
Nova Scotia municipalities have already asked the province for regulations about pesticides.
