Casey pleads guilty to cocaine possession
Matthew Daniel Casey, 35, of 73 Spring St., Amherst, was given a conditional discharge following six months probation after pleading guilty to one count of possession of cocaine.
Casey's six-month probationary period comes with conditions, including a $50 victim fine surcharge to be paid by Dec. 30, 2009.
The incident occurred Oct. 8, 2009, in Amherst.

Taylor to return for sentencing
Peter Frederick Taylor, 44, of 218 Pier Rd., Parrsboro, will return for sentencing in January after pleading guilty to one count of uttering a threat to burn real property.
Taylor's defence counsel has requested a pre-sentence report.
He will return for the report and sentencing on Jan. 12, 2010, at 9:30 a.m.
The incident occurred July 30, 2009, in Parrsboro.
His undertaking has been continued.

Brookins pleads guilty to failing breathalyser
Gordon Cloney Brookins, 19, of 233 Esdaile Ave., Dartmouth, was fined a total of $1,150 after pleading guilty to one count of failing the breathalyser.
He was given a $1,000 fine and $150 surcharge, or 16 days in custody, to be paid by Dec. 1, 2010.
He was also given a 12-month driving prohibition whereas he can apply for the ignition interlock device program after three months if he so chooses.
The incident occurred Oct. 24, 2009, in Oxford.

Rector given conditional discharge, probation
Nicholas David Rector, 18, of 158 Willow St., Amherst, was given a conditional discharge following probation after pleading guilty to a number of charges.
Rector entered a guilty plea to two counts of mischief or property damage, and was given the same 12-month probationary sentence for each count, concurrent to one another.
For the incident that occurred June 27, 2009, in Amherst, Rector was given a restitution order in the amount of $329.94.
The other incident occurred Aug. 1, 2009, in Amherst, and Rector was given a restitution order in the amount of $525.45.
Rector also pleaded guilty to one count of failing to attend court.
He was given a one-month probation order, concurrent to the other sentences, with a $50 victim fine surcharge.
The incident occurred Sept. 21, 2009, in Amherst.
Rector entered a guilty plea to one count of breaching an undertaking, and was given a two-month concurrent probationary sentence with $50 victim fine surcharge.
The incident occurred Sept. 25, 2009, in Amherst.
He has until Nov. 2, 2010, to pay the fines.

Waters sentenced to custody
Maureen Lynn Waters, 48, of 261 Waverly Rd., Dartmouth, was sentenced to six months custody after pleading guilty in September to one count of possession of Oxycodone.
The sentence is to be served consecutively to any sentences Waters is presently serving.
The incident occurred Aug. 23, 2008, in Springhill.
