Three men facing drug charges

AMHERST - Three young men are facing a number of drug-related charges following an incident in Fenwick on Halloween.
The men, whose ages range from 18 to 24, are each facing charges involving marijuana, cocaine, ecstasy and Psilocybin, or magic mushrooms.
Each are facing one count each of possession of cocaine, trafficking marijuana, trafficking mushrooms, trafficking ecstasy, possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking, possession of magic mushrooms for the purpose of trafficking and possession of ecstasy.
They are also facing one count each of possession of a weapon - a finger-ringed knife - dangerous to the public and possession of a prohibited weapon.
Two of the men, both aged 18, are from Springhill, while the 24-year-old is from Riverview, NB.
Each of the accused has requested time to seek counsel, either through Legal Aid or private practice, and all three are scheduled to return to court for election and plea on Dec. 21, 2009, at 9:30 a.m.
They were released earlier on an undertaking and the undertaking has been continued.
