John Francis Leightizer Casey, 50, of 2433 Athol Road, Springhill, was fined $1,000 after pleading guilty to one count of failing the breathalyser.
Casey was given until May 3, 2011 to pay the fine, or spend 15 days in custody.
He was also given an 18-month driving prohibition order, and can apply for the ignition interlock device program after nine months if he so chooses.
The incident occurred Aug. 19, 2009, in Amherst.

Gould to return for sentencing
David Douglas Gould, 19, of 80 Rupert St., Amherst, will return for sentencing in December after pleading guilty to four counts of failing to comply with a probation order.
Gould's defence counsel has requested a pre-sentence report.
He will return for the report and sentencing on Dec. 17, 2009, at 9:30 a.m.
Two incidents occurred on March 28, 2009, in Amherst, and two others occurred on July 10, 2009, in Amherst.

MacLeod given conditional sentence
Ben MacLeod, 30, of 9 Paradise Ave., Amherst, was given a conditional sentence order after pleading guilty in August to one count of trafficking cocaine.
The 12-month conditional sentence order comes with conditions.
The incident occurred Nov. 30, 2008, in Amherst.

Mazur pleads guilty to failing breathalyser
Anthony Christopher Mazur, 33, of RR#1 Oxford, will return for sentencing in January after pleading guilty to one count of failing the breathalyser.
Following the guilty plea, a three-year driving prohibition was enforced, with authorization to apply for the ignition interlock device program after 12 months if he so chooses.
Mazur's defence counsel has requested a pre-sentence report.
He will return for the report and sentencing on Jan. 4, 2010, at 1:30 p.m.
The incident occurred Aug. 15, 2009, in Amherst.

McCormack given suspended sentence
Mark Leslie McCormack, 31, of 1264 Mill Rd., Moncton, N.B., was given a suspended sentence of probation after pleading guilty to one count of possession of stolen property.
The 12-month sentence comes with conditions, including a $50 victim fine surcharge and $250 donation to the United Way of Cumberland County.
McCormack has until May 3, 2010, to pay both fines.
The incident occurred July 24, 2009, in Springhill.

Sperry sentenced to probation
Ryan William Sperry, 19, of 2957 Tynal Road, Amherst, was given a conditional discharge following 12-months probation after pleading guilty in September to one count of unlawful entry of a dwelling.
The probation order comes with conditions, including a $100 surcharge, $250 donation to the United Way of Cumberland County and $250 donation to the Cumberland YMCA.
The incident occurred June 21, 2009, in Amherst.
