Phillip Gregory Langille, 20, of 12525 Sunrise Trail, Wallace, was fined $1,150 or 17 days in jail after pleading guilty to failing the breathalyzer.
He is also prohibited from driving for 12 months and was given 12 months probation with conditions.
The incident occurred July 25 in Tidnish.

Carde pleads guilty to mischief
Brandon Carde, 23, of 40 Kent Dr., Amherst, was ordered to return to sentencing on Nov. 9 at 1:30 p.m. after pleading guilty to committing mischief by slashing two tires on a vehicle owned by Adam Crowley. A pre-sentence report was requested.
The incident occurred Aug. 16 in Amherst.

Estabrooks sentenced to 90 days for obstruction
Chad Brent Andrew Estabrooks, 21, of 40 Croft St., Amherst, was sentenced to 90 days in jail, to be served intermittently on weekends, for attempting to obstruct the course of justice by attempting to dissuade Jennifer Clyne from giving evidence.
He will be on probation when not in jail and for 12 months following his jail sentence. He was also given a $50 victim surcharge fine.
The incident occurred Dec. 4, 2008 in Amherst.

Failing breathalyzer means fine for P.E.I. man
Stephen Rockwell, 45, of 57 Stockman St., Charlottetown, was fined $1,725 or 26 days in jail after pleading guilty to failing the breathalyzer.
He is also prohibited from driving for two years. Rockwell may apply for the interlock ignition program after three months.
The incident occurred Aug. 13 in Amherst.

15 days for possessing stolen tags
Byard Anthony Rushton, 40, of 87 Mechanic St., Springhill, was sentenced to 15 days in jail after pleading guilty to unlawful possession of a stolen motor vehicle registration validation tag.
The incident occurred May 15 in Springhill.

Strathcona man back in court on child porn charges
A 21-year-old Strathcona man was ordered back to court on Nov. 16 at 9:30 a.m. for election and plea for a series of charges relating to the distribution and possession of child pornography.
He is charged with unlawfully distributing child pornography, a video of a 16-year-old nude in a sexual act; as well as possession of child pornography. He also faces an extortion charge by attempting to obtain money by using threats.
The court is awaiting forensic evidence before proceeding.
The name of the victim is protected by a publication ban.
The incidents allegedly occurred June 27.

Robichaud enters guilty pleas
Blake Evan Robichaud, 19, of 134 Cordova Ave., Amherst, was given a $200 fine after pleading guilty to one count of evading police.
He was also given a $30 victim fine surcharge, and has until Dec. 29, 2009, to pay the fines in full or spend three days in jail.
He was also given a six-month driving prohibition.
The incident occurred May 26, 2008, in Amherst.
Robichaud also entered guilty pleas to one count each of failing to attend court and failing to appear for identification purposes.
He was given a suspended sentence of six months probation with reporting for each count, concurrent to one another. The incidents occurred June 15, 2009, in Amherst.

Waters to return for sentencing
Maureen L. Waters, 48, of 3082 Beaverbank Rd., Upper Rawdon, will return for sentencing in December after pleading guilty to one count of possession of Oxycodone.
The guilty plea was to the included offence to an original charge of possession of Oxycodone for the purpose of trafficking.
She will return for a pre-sentence report and sentencing on Dec. 3, 3009, at 9:30 a.m.
The incident occurred Aug. 23, 2008, in Springhill. Her undertaking has been continued.

Bennett pleads guilty to failing breathalyser
Cameron Bennett, 63, of 1205 Highway 2, Moose River, was fined a total of $1,150 after pleading guilty to one count of failing the breathalyser.
Bennett was given a $1,000 fine and $150 surcharge, or 15 days in custody, payable by Oct. 5, 2010.
He was also given a 12-month driving prohibition and has authorization to apply for the ignition interlock device program after three months if he so chooses.
The incident occurred Aug. 1, 2009, in Parrsboro.

Crowley sentenced to custody
Austin Crowley, 43, of 368 Lower Main St., Oxford, was sentenced to six months custody following a guilty plea in August to one count of possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking.
The incident occurred Dec. 19, 2008, in Oxford.
