SPRINGHILL - With a candidate now in place in Cumberland South, NDP Darrell Dexter warned the Conservatives his sights are on now the reigns of power for the province.

Town of Springhill Chief Administrative Officer Don Tabor was elected the Cumberland South candidate Monday night, with Dexter present to witness. Tabor's nomination, Dexter said, was a long time coming.
"I've been bugging Don for a long time to do this shortly after I was elected in 2001," Dexter said. "I think Don has the experience and the qualities to make a great MLA for Cumberland Couth."
Tabor called the past 10 years of Conservative rule as a long string of broken promises, failure to provide sufficient medical providers for rural areas, poor road conditions and little to prevent increasing student debt or out-migration.
"The MacDonald government is worried. Not about you but their own government," Tabor said to a packed room of friends, family, co-workers and supporters. "They know the orange tide is rising."
It is widely speculated Nova Scotians will go to the polls this Spring, pitting Tabor against incumbent Conservative MLA Murray Scott. Dexter says an NDP victory is in sight.
"The difference between me standing here today as leader of the opposition and as the premier was 500 votes in two constituencies in the last election."

Well....Don, you are a good person and the NDP picked a good runner but lets face it, Murray Scott is going to have this hands down. It is good however to have someone in the area running but all I can say is good luck.

approach with caution on a change in provincial power, even if it may be a minority. no one has changed my mind as of yet.
