Cape Breton man charged with second-degree murder in weekend death

SYDNEY, N.S. A Cape Breton man has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of another island man over the weekend.

Clinton William Campbell, 29, of the Gabarus area is accused of killing Dan Henry MacIntosh, 48, of Big Ridge.

Police were called to a home in Big Ridge, south of Sydney, around 1:20 a.m. Saturday.

When police and paramedics arrived on the scene, they found a man dead inside and blood on the front door.

Campbell is also charged with two counts of making threats and two counts of property damage.

Hes been remanded until his next court appearance on Feb. 9 to set a date for a preliminary hearing.
