CHARLOTTETOWN Charlottetown police say one man was left with facial injuries and another facing an assault charge following an incident of road rage in the city.

Deputy Chief Richard Collins said a man in his late 50s left his car during an incident Monday to confront the female driver of another vehicle.

A passenger in the womans car leapt out to intervene and allegedly punched the other man, causing facial injuries that required treatment in hospital.

Collins said a Queens County man will appear in court Dec. 15 on a charge of assault causing bodily harm.
