NEW GLASGOW - Police have identified two suspects they believe were involved in an attempted murder over the weekend.
Arrest warrants have been issued for Bradley Rico Oliver, 20, of Halifax and Jarrett Malcolm MacKenzie, 17, of New Glasgow.
Police responded to a 9-1-1 call early Saturday morning, where they discovered a 19-year-old male had been shot multiple times and wounded with another unspecified weapon. He was taken by ambulance to hospital and later airlifted to the Queen Elizabeth II hospital in Halifax. He is listed in stable condition.
Const. Ken MacDonald of the New Glasgow Police Service said police are advising the public that these individuals should be considered armed and dangerous and that they should not be approached.
"We're asking anyone who may have information relating to this incident to call the New Glasgow Police Service (902-752-1941)," MacDonald said.
