SYDNEY, N.S. The body of a man was found Friday in a suspected drug house that has been the scene of two other deaths in recent years.

Sgt. Mike Kennedy of Cape Breton Regional Police said four people were questioned in the death of the adult male, whose body was found by officers responding to a 911 hangup call at about 5 a.m.

The body was taken to Halifax for an autopsy.

Once we get the results of the autopsy and we interview the people, we will know more, Kennedy said.

Lance Brook Terlson, a Saskatoon man, was beaten to death at the same house in February 2005.

Stephen Bruce MacDonald, who owns the house, was given a three-year sentence after pleading guilty to manslaughter a term he was deemed to have served after spending 18 months on remand while awaiting trial.

The body of a 41-year-old Sydney woman was also found in the same house in December, though police later determined that death wasnt suspicious.

Residents on the street suspect it is a drug house.

It has been well known for drugs and stuff, said a resident who didnt want to be identified. Its wide open all hours of the morning. Something definitely needs to be done.

How many times does somebody have to die in that house before somebody does something about it?

Kennedy confirmed the house is a place of interest to drug section officers.
