TRURO - Bill Casey's quest for information on the new offshore royalty agreement will have to wait another week.
The Cumberland-Colchester-Musquodoboit Valley MP was expecting to meet federal finance department officials for a technicial briefing yesterday.
But after some on-again, off-again messages the session was officially postponed until Nov. 13.
Casey said it has been quite the runaround.
"All we want is information," he said.
He said that has been hard to come by as cabinet ministers contradict one another about the deal announced by Premier Rodney MacDonald and Prime Minister Stephen Harper. Federal finance officials will not even confirm figures Casey received from the provincial finance department.
But it has not deterred the Independent MP.
"I'm going to follow this through until its conclusion," Casey said.
