SACKVILLE, N.B. The Mounties are investigating an armed robbery early this morning at the Sackville McDonalds.
At 4 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 30, a man armed with a weapon confronted a female employee as she was entering the store and then restrained her. The suspect then hid in the restaurant until a second employee, belived to be the manager, arrived an hour later and restrained him as well.
An undisclosed amount of money was taken and the suspect left the scene. No one was injured.
A vehicle that may have been used in the escape was parked at the end of King Street soon after the robbery.
The suspect is described as caucasian with a dark tan, spoke English with no accent and is in his late 20's or early 30's. He was approximately 5'8", with a slim build, wearing a ball cap, baggy jeans, a white jacket with green trim and possibly dark glasses.
