Hicks sentenced for break and enter

Bradley Richard Hicks, 20, of Clinton Street, Amherst, was sentenced in court on Tuesday to eight months custody, concurrent to any sentences currently being served, after pleading guilty to break and entering a cottage and committing theft therein.

The incident occurred between June 16, and June 20, 2013 in Tyndal Road.

 

LeBlanc sentenced for producing marijuana

Anthony Leonard LeBlanc, 42, of Springhill, was sentenced in court on Tuesday to a suspended sentence followed by 12 months custody and a 10-year firearms prohibition after pleading guilty to the unlawful production of marijuana.

The incident occurred May 29, 2013, in Springhill.

 

Turner sentenced for assaulting correction officer

Marvin Turner, 22, of Springhill, was sentenced in court on Tuesday to four-month custody, concurrent to any sentence currently being served, after pleading guilty to assaulting a corrections officer while he was engaged in the execution of his duty.

The incident occurred Dec. 13, 2014, in Springhill.

 

George sentenced for being at large

Tyler Anthony George, 22, of Maccan, was sentenced in court on Monday to five days custody with one-day custody after pleading guilty to being at large without lawful excuse before the expiration of his term of imprisonment.

The incident occurred between March 1, 2013, and March 11, 2013, in Amherst.

 

Bowden sentenced for failing Breathalyzer

Richard Bowden, 58, of Port Greville, was sentenced in court on Monday to a $1,300 and a one-year driving prohibition after pleading guilty to operating a motor vehicle while the concentration of alcohol in his blood exceeded .08 per cent.

The incident occurred June 19, 2014, in Port Greville.

 

Gloade sentenced for committing assault

Bradley Jordan Gloade, 19, of Bible Hill, was sentenced in court on Monday to a conditional discharge and 15-months probation after being found guilty of committing assault upon another male, and committing mischief by wilfully damaging without legal justification or excuse a vehicle belonging to the person he assaulted.

The incidents occurred Feb. 13, 2014, in Wentworth.

 

McFadden sentenced for failing to comply

Frederick Arthur McFadden, 44, of Arthur Street, Amherst, was sentenced in court on Monday to 70 days custody, concurrent to each count but consecutive to anything currently being served, after pleading guilty to failing to comply with a condition to not be outside his residence while under the influence of alcohol, and pleading guilty to failing to comply with a curfew whereby he was star in his residence between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. seven days a week.

The incidents occurred Aug. 2, 2014, in Amherst.

 

Mills sentenced for uttering threats

Perry Arthur Mills, 41, of Joggins, was sentenced in court on Monday to a suspended sentence and 18 months probation, concurrent on each count, after being found guilty of uttering threats to another male to cause harm to that male, being found guilty of causing a disturbance in a public place, and being found guilty of failing without lawful excuse to comply with an order to keep the peace and be of good behaviour by yelling an swearing.

The incidents occurred July 20, 2013, in Joggins.

Mills was also sentence to 18 months probation, concurrent, after being found guilty of failing to comply with an order to not possess or consume alcohol or other intoxicating substances.

The incident occurred Sept. 14, 2013, in Joggins.
