HALIFAX - Police in Halifax are looking for a local cabbie who allegedly grabbed a woman’s buttocks as she got out of the man’s cab.

The victim, a 39-year-old, told police she grabbed a cab on Lower Water Street in the area of Historic Properties. She was driven to Parkland Drive with a friend, and as she left the cab, it’s alleged the driver reached over and grabbed her buttocks.

Police say the woman told the cabbie that his actions were inappropriate. He then apologized, didn’t make her pay and quickly left.

The driver is described as a white man in his 30s with blonde hair, round face and a medium build.

Police say he also spoke English with an East European accent.

The women had no description for the cab itself.
