TIDNISH – The failed Tidnish Festival that was cancelled due to poor weather, courtesy of July’s tropical storm Arthur, is back as Family Fun Day.
The Tidnish Crossroad Community Association is taking another shot at bringing a fun filled day at the Rodney Estabrooks Memorial Sportsfield on Sarturday, August 23, where many of the events mirror those canceled at the stormed-out festival. Washer toss tournament, pick-up baseball, community yard sales, family games, face painting and more will be taking place at the sports field from 1 to 6 p.m. The canteen will be open for food and refreshments during the afternoon and a pork chop barbecue will run from 4 to 6 p.m.
A dance featuring music by Free Fall will take place at the Tidnish Community Hall from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Doors open at 8 p.m.
