SPRINGHILL – Final parade preparations were being put in place by Springhill’s Amie Mathieson (left) and Maccan’s Kathleen Sproul Thursday morning at the NSCC, Springhill Campus.

Early Childhood Education Provincial Awareness Parade and Family Fun events will be held in Truro, Halifax, Kentville, Yarmouth and Sydney on Sunday.

The Truro parade starts Sunday at 1 p.m. at the A-Bungalo’ Fun Learning Centre, which is at 24 Kaulback St., right across the street from the NSCC Truro Campus.

Mathieson, coordinator for the Early Childhood Development Support Centre NSCC Springhill, is coordinating the Truro parade, which is open to the public.

The parade will make its way to the playground at Victoria Park where there will be a fire truck, a police car, water, snacks, a story book corner, face painting, a bean bag toss and a fishing pond with lots of prizes.
