N.B. man suffers life-threatening injuries at Ben Eoin campground

SYDNEY — Cape Breton Regional Police are continuing their investigation into an incident Tuesday at a local campground which resulted in one man suffering life-threatening injuries.

News Update

Police were called to the Ben Eoin Beach RV Resort and Campground around 11 a.m. on Tuesday after a 25-year-old New Brunswick man reportedly jumped from a moving vehicle.

The man was first transported to the Cape Breton Regional Hospital in Sydney, the island's main trauma centre, before being transferred to the QE II Health Sciences Centre in Halifax.

Police said the man did suffer life-threatening injuries but were unable to comment on just why the man may have jumped from the vehicle.

Police are continuing their investigation with assistance from the forensic identification unit.
