Classic cars converge in Parrsboro

PARRSBORO – Parrboro’s Croyden Wood was the big winner at the 16th annual Fundy Shore Auto Club Outdoor Car Show Sunday afternoon at the Parrsboro Arena.

Wood’s 32 Chevrolet won three awards – The People’s Choice, the Best Original 30s car, and the Mayor’s Best of Show Car, which was chosen by Parrsboro mayor Lois Smith.

Woods’ 32 Chevrolet Sedan won the oldest car award as well.

Other winners were:

Best Original 40s – Carson Stewart’s 1947 Plymouth

Best Original 50s – Jim Walsh’s 1954 Mercury

Best Original 60s – Jeff Smith’s 1967 Chevy Camaro

Best Original 70s – Dean Robertson’s 1970 Dodge

Best Original 1980-1994 – Greg Smith’s 1980 Pontiac Grand Prix

Best Hot Rod – Jim Wall’s 1931 Ford Coupe

Best Original Truck – Wayne and Florence Spence’s 1952 Mercury

Best Farm Tractor – Richard Giddens’ Ford 8N

Longest Distance – Colin Lye of Herring Cove

Best Chrysler chosen by Amherst Chrysler – Art Terfry

Best Modified Vehicle – Rob Anderson’s 1980 Chevrolet Malibu
