Event moved inside for second straight year

PARRSBORO - It was the kids' chance to shine, and they delivered.

The Parrsboro Lions Club hosted its annual Old Home Week doll carriage parade on July 17, drawing a wide array of creative and entertaining entries in a number of categories.

While the event was moved inside for the second straight year due to rain, that did not stop a large crowd of onlookers from coming out to see the numerous bicycles, carriages and carts on display.

The results are as follows:

Doll Carriage Category - First Place - Big Top; Second Place - Strolling Through Time; Third Place - Girls with Dolls and Cat with Stroller;

Bicycle Category - First Place - Dinasaur; Second Place - Walkers;

Cart or Wagon - First Place - Tow Truck; Second Place - Nova Scotia Power; Third Place - Miss Muffet;

Most Original - Sarafi Tours.
