– Chapman sentenced for failing Breathalyzer

Kevin Lee Chapman, 50, of Malagash, was sentenced in court on Monday to a $1,300 fine and a one-year driving prohibition after pleading guilty to operating a motor vehicle while the concentration of alcohol in his blood exceeded .08 per cent.

The incident occurred May 11, 2014, in Wallace.

 

– Gogan sentenced for stealing raspberry turnovers

Teresa Frances Gogan, 52, of Tyndal Road, Amherst, was sentenced in court on Monday to a conditional sentence, 30 days probation and a $100 donation to the Cumberland YMCA after pleading guilty to stealing raspberry turnovers from the Amherst Superstore, the value of which did not exceed $5,000.

The incident occurred Feb. 10, 2014, in Amherst.

 

– LeBlanc sentence to two years custody

Jason LeRoy LeBlanc, 37, of Christie Street, Amherst, was sentenced in court on Monday to two years custody after pleading guilty to several charges.

He was sentenced to 12-months custody, concurrent on each count, after pleading guilty to break and entering L.B.J. Equipment, and for possession instruments suitable for the purpose of breaking into L.B.J. Equipment.

The incidents occurred Feb. 4, 2007 in Amherst.

LeBlanc was also sentenced to three months custody, consecutive to other sentences after pleading guilty to stealing a barbecue, a set of pots of pans, a quantity of pop, chicken nuggets, hand wash, and a quantity of clothes, the property of the Amherst Superstore, the value of which did not exceed $5,000.

The incident occurred April 26, 2007, in Amherst.

LeBlanc was also sentenced to three months custody, consecutive to other sentences, after pleading guilty to stealing clothing from the Amherst Superstore, the value of which did not exceed $5,000.

The incident occurred Aug. 1, 2007, in Amherst.

He was also sentenced to three months custody, consecutive, after pleading guilty to stealing numerous items from the Superstore, the value of which did not exceed $5,000.

The incident occurred Sept. 4, 2007, in Amherst.

LeBlanc was sentenced to a further three months custody, consecutive, after pleading guilty to failing to attend court.

The incident occurred Feb. 13, 2008, in Amherst.

 

– Rushton pleads guilty to several charges

Kevin Lee Rushton, 30, of Church Street, Amherst, pleaded guilty in court on Monday to failing to comply with a condition to not be within the town limits of Parrsboro and pleading guilty to failing without lawful excuse to comply with a condition to have no contact, direct or indirect, with a certain person.

The incidents occurred July 12, 2014, in Parrsboro.

Rushton also pleaded guilty to knowingly uttering a threat to cause bodily harm to the same person he was to have no contact with.

The incident occurred April 26, 2014, in Parrsboro.

Rushton will be sentenced July 21, at 9:30 a.m.
