One person seriously injured

NEILS HARBOUR — RCMP is advising drivers that the Cabot Trail is now reopened but reduced to one lane of traffic.
A commercial tour bus carrying 21 passengers went gone off the road near Neils Harbour on Sunday afternoon.RCMP Sgt. Brigdit Leger said the accident occurred around 2:30 p.m., three kilometres south of Neils Harbour on the Cabot Trail.
"As of right now I can confirm that we have one passenger with serious injuries, and nine with what's being described as moderate injuries," she said.
The other 11 passengers have undetermined injuries, but most of those are believed to be minor in nature.
There are no fatalities being reported by police at this time.
"Our members are still on the scene there and I expect (that section of) the Cabot Trail to be closed for an undetermined amount of time," said Leger. "They'll be taking care of the injured passengers and then they'll try to determine what caused the collision."
Leger said she can confirm the driver appears to have lost control of the bus on a turn in the road.
Numerous agencies are responding to the scene and EHS Lifeflight has been dispatched to the crash.
