AMHERST – Following are major award winners from Amherst Regional High School.

Grade 9

Two students who have demonstrated a good academic standing (honors), possessing fine qualities of character and showing a marked ability to co-operate with others – Emma Taylor and Amy Cole

Two students showing the most progress during the school year – Wesley Brine and Kaleb Lines

A student who has demonstrated good character, hard work and a co-operative spirit is – Kody Little

The Best All Round Graduate is a student who has demonstrated good character, volunteerism, leadership roles, grades and school and community involvement – Tyler Buchanan.

Grade 10

Grade 12

A student who has demonstrated good character, hard work and a cooperative spirit – Chris Hill.

Two students who have made outstanding contribution to school activities –  Forrest Dawe and Justin Trueman.

The Ethel Jean McIver Kierstead Award awarded to a young woman of the graduating class who best represents the spirit of the school –  Lauren MacEachern.

The Brent Cadman Award given to a young man of the graduating class who best represents the spirit of the school – Jonathan Cheverie.

The Best All Round Graduate is a student who has demonstrated good character, volunteerism, leadership roles, grades and school and community involvement – Renee Cole.

An award is presented to student in Special Education who is polite, hard working, and has shown much improvement – Jonathan Dauphinee

The following students have been awarded the Schools Plus Award: Victoria Lockhart, Shawn LePage, Amanda Burbine and Michael Smith.
