Land & Sea Exhibit Opens

1 to 4 p.m. meet the artist event with Bob Morouney for Land & Sea: from the west coast of Ireland to the Maritimes. Exhibit runs until July 11 at the Tidnish Bridge Art Gallery. A show of work from Morouney’s two-month residency at The Ballinglen Arts Foundation, Mayo, Irelan.

Movie Night at the Hall

7:30 p.m. featuring The Invisible Woman. There are comfy theatre seats and popcorn.

Pictures by the Shore

7:30 p.m at Jost Winery, Malagash, featuring Ventus Machina woodwind quintet. Works by Mozart, Mussorgsky, Mozetich, Gibson and Miller.

CEIP Family Picnic

12 to 2 p.m. at the McDonald’s-Rotary Children’s Accessible Playground on Beacon Street. Free barbecue, face-painting, refreshments and more.

Historic Mid-1800s Slides

2 p.m. at Ottawa House Museum, Parrsboro. Slides of Oxford and area from mid-1800s. Refreshments to follow.

Creative Youth Art at Maggie’s Place

8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Wag Canine Recreation Centre, 10C Lawrence St., Amherst. Also serving Greco Pizza from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. with all proceeds going to Emily’s Place Spay and Neuter Outreach Society.

Band Day at Hill Memorial Bandstand

12 to 5 p.m. with food at noon and music beginning at 1 p.m. Art in the Park returns by popular demand and there’ll be tickets on a quilt and 25 pounds of lobster. Memberships available as well.

7:30 p.m. at Parrsboro Hall featuring the Galapagos Islands, presented by Peter Taskar.
