AMHERST – Cool, unspringlike, weather didn't deter people from attending the Cumberland County Museum's annual plant sale.

The sale supports the volunteer garden committee at the museum and helped kick off the summer season at historic Grove Cottage on Church Street.

The museum's grounds are a popular backdrop for proms and grad photos as well as for engagement and wedding pictures and other special occasions.

The committee has been busy in recent weeks cleaning up the grounds and preparing them for another summer season.
