An Amherst man is facing several charges after a search of his home by the Cumberland Intergrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit.

An Amherst man is facing several charges after a search of his home by the Cumberland Intergrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit.

AMHERST – A 49-year-old Amherst man is facing several drug charges following a search of his home on Thursday by members of the Cumberland Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit.

The man was arrested for trafficking marijuana. A search warrant was executed at his home, where a marijuana grow operation was dismantled and seized, along with marijuana plants and a quantity of dried marijuana and cocaine.

The accuses is facing charges of trafficking in marijuana, possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking, production of marijuana and possession of cocaine.

He will return to court on July 15 to enter pleas to the charges.
