SPRINGHILL – Elementary students in the schools' running club are jumping with excitement for Saturday's street race in the former mining town.

Color Run Saturday

The Tim Hortons Colour Run is returning to the community, which drew particpants from across Atlantic Canada this year to Springhill to be "colour bombed" on the 5 km course. Last year drew over 250 participants.

Morning registration, cash only, will take place Saturday morning at the West End Memorial School for those who did not register online in advance.

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and the run starts at 10 a.m.

    Doesn't the term bombed go against the current anti violence and with the current shootings it has the potential to be taken wrong and can offend parents or friends of victims of violent crimes. This is telling kids its ok to bomb others. By teaching bombing is a harmless activity it is a potential for disaster.
