SPRINGHILL – A group of concerned citizens are inviting the public to attend a meeting tonight to learn what they've determined so far regarding the town's decision to dissolve.
Town of Springhill
The meeting will take place in the Dr. Carson and Marion Murray Community Centre's CIBC Room at 7 p.m.
Former Cumberland South MLA Murray Scott, a member of the concerned citizens commitee, says mayor and council have been invited to attend the meeting, but council has opted to not attend, instead calliing their own public meeting at the community centre on May 15th.
"We all want what is best for the Town of Springhill and its citizens, both now and in the future," a press release from the committee reads. "We encourage you to come and take part. Your input and presence is vital in order to determine the next steps. If future actions are to be continued, our council must see your show of support and concern."
The press release also states arrangement can be made for anyone requiring a drive to the meeting by calling 902-597-3040.
