Two men were stabbed during an altercation in River Hebert on Thursday. RCMP are investigating.

Two men were stabbed during an altercation in River Hebert on Thursday. RCMP are investigating.

RIVER HEBERT – Cumberland RCMP are investigating an alleged double stabbing in River Hebert on Thursday.

RCMP and traffic services members responded to a disturbance at a River Hebert residence during which two males received stab wounds.

A 31-year-old man was taken to the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries while a 26-year-old man from Amherst declined medical treatment.

The 26-year-old has been released with no charges pending while the 31-year-old remains in RCMP custody.

The incident remains under investigation.
