Timothy Ian Lloyd, 39, of Kentville, was sentenced to 12 months probation and a $50 fine after pleading guilty to failing to comply with a probation order; to wit: attend counseling.

Silvea sentenced to probation

Joan Lesia Silvea, 36, of Amherst, was sentenced to eight months probation with conditions, after being found guilty at trial of failing to comply with a recognizance to have no contact, direct or indirect, with Linda Treadwell.

The incident occurred Feb. 16, in Amherst.

 

Brown sentenced for possession a drug

Abigail Brown, 21, of For Lawrence Road, Amherst, was sentenced in court last week to 18 months probation, with conditions, after pleading guilty to the unlawful possession of Hydromorphone.

The incident occurred June 26, 2013, in Amherst.

 

Kay pleads guilty to not abiding to conditions

Amy Lynn Kay, 29, of Dickey Street, Amherst, pleaded guilty in court last week to unlawfully failing to comply with a probation order to attend treatment programs.

The incident occurred between Dec. 9 and Dec. 17, 2013, in Amherst.

Kay will be sentenced April 14.

 

MacKenzie sentenced for texting a threat

George Robert MacKenzie, 30, of Pugwash, was sentenced in court last week to eight months probation, with conditions, after pleading guilty to using a text message to utter a threat to cause death to a female.

The incident occurred Feb. 17, 2014, in Pugwash.

MacKenzie was also sentenced to eight months probation, concurrent to other sentences, after pleading guilty to failing to comply with a condition to not be within 500 metres of the female he threatened, by being in the same residence.

The incident occurred March 9, 2014, in Pugwash River.

 

Mitton sentenced for failing Breathalyzer

Eric Andrew Mitton, 30, of Prince Arthur Street, Amherst, was sentenced last week to a $1,000 fine, a $300 victim fine, and a one-year driving prohibition after pleading guilty to operating a motor vehicle while the concentration of alcohol in his blood exceeded .08 per cent.

The incident occurred Sept. 13, 2013, in Amherst.

Mitton was also sentenced to a $1,950 fine and an 18 months driving prohibition after pleading guilty to operating a motor vehicle while the concentration of alcohol in his blood exceeded .08 per cent.

The incident occurred Feb. 1, 2014, in Amherst.

 

LeBlanc sentenced for assault

Jeremy Dale LeBlanc, 35, of Church Street, Amherst, was sentenced in court last week to a six month conditional sentence with a curfew for the first three months, and restitution to the Amherst Police Department in the amount of $57.50 after pleading guilty to committing assault on a female, committing mischief by willfully damaging motor vehicle belonging to a second female, and committing mischief by willfully damaging, without legal justification or excuse, motor vehicle belonging to the Town of Amherst.

 

Scinocco sentence for possession of stolen property

Anthony Adam Scinocco, 46, of Harbour Mines, was sentenced in court last week to a one-year conditional sentence, concurrent to other sentences, after pleading guilty to stealing a television from Wal-Mart, the value of which did not exceed $5,000.

The incident occurred Dec 3, 2013, in Truro.

He was sentenced in court last week to a one year conditional sentence, concurrent to other sentences, after pleading guilty to possession of property, knowing the property was stolen, and failing to comply with a condition to not possess any identification card with a data strip or security chip, a credit card or debit card, credit or debit card data, a blank card with a magnetic strip, a cheque, or a negotiable instrument of banking document, unless he could prove it had been unlawfully issued in his name.

The incidents occurred March 21, 2014, in Amherst.
