Fulton sentenced for uttering threat to burn house

Darren Leon Fulton, 42, of Parrsboro, was sentenced in court last week to a conditional discharge following 12 months probation after pleading guilty to knowingly uttering a threat to burn the property of another person, to wit, the person’s dwelling house.

The incident occurred July 8, 2013, in Parrsboro.

Landry fined for breach of probation

Bradley Robert Joseph Landry, 28, of Liberty Lane, Amherst, was sentenced in court last week to a $100 fine after pleading guilty to failing to comply with an order to report to a probation officer.

The incident occurred between April 28, 2013, and June 11, 2013, in Amherst.

Wheaton sentenced for stealing from stores

Joel Daniel Wheaton, 31, of Prince Arthur Street Amherst, was sentenced in court last week to 12 months probation and a $100 fine after pleading guilty to stealing items from Sobey’s, The Source and Mark’s Work Wearhouse, the value of which did not exceed $5,000.

The incident occurred Dec. 20, 2013, in Amherst.

Card Sentenced for assault

Robert Lee Kenneth Carde, 28, of Beacon Street, Amherst, was sentenced in court last week to a conditional discharge and 12 months probation after pleading guilty to committing assault upon a male.

The incident occurred April 23, 2013, in Amherst.

Epton pleads guilty to stealing

Norissa Virginia Lynn Epton, 18, of Church Street, Amherst, pleaded guilty in court last week to stealing various items, the property of Foodland, the value of which did not exceed $5,000.

She also pleaded guilty in court last week to failing without lawful excuse to comply with an order to keep the peace and be of good behavior.

The incidents occurred March 15, 2014, in Amherst.

Epton will appear in court May 5, at 1:30 p.m. for sentencing.

Grover pleads guilty to trafficking

Peter Edmend Grover, 48, of Prince Arthur Street, Amherst, pleaded guilty in court last week to possessing Oxycodone for the purpose of trafficking.

The incident occurred Jan. 16, 2014, in Amherst.

Grover will be sentenced May 12, at 1:30 p.m.

Simmons sentenced for assault

Kimberley Diane Simmons, 33, of Victoria Drive, Lower Sackville, pleaded guilty in court last week to committing assault upon a female.

The incident occurred Feb. 14, 2013, in Bridgewater.

Simmons also pleaded guilty in court last week to failing to attend court at the Bridgewater Justice Centre.

The incident occurred Aug. 14, 2013, in Bridgewater.

Simmons will be sentenced April 28, at 1:30 p.m.

Stevens sentenced for possessing marijuana

Kirk Gordon Stevens, 33, of Dickey Street, Amherst, was sentenced in court last week to a $300 fine and a $90 victims surcharge, after pleading guilty to the unlawful possession of marijuana.

The incident occurred Feb. 20, 2014, in Pugwash Junction
