Council was told that it could purchase the building for $70,000 but it has to honour Canada Postâs lease until it expires in March 2017. If council isnât interested in the building than the government could deed the land that holds the war memorial over to the town. The memorial sits in front of the post office. Council said it would investigate the situation further before it makes any decisions.
