HALIFAX  — Halifax police say a 36-year-old woman faces several charges related to procuring an underage girl for the purpose of prostitution.

Police say Florence Muriel Young was arrested Friday following the search of two apartments, including one on Valentine Lane in the Pockwock area of the city.

Police say a computer was also seized at the Valentine Lane residence.

The charges faced by Young include procuring for prostitution a person under the age of 18 and knowingly concealing a person under 18 in a bawdy house.

She also faces a charge of sexual exploitation of a young person and two counts of Internet luring for the purposes of prostitution.

Police say they began their investigation in early January.
