CALGARY – The family of a 23-year-old Calgary man are asking for anyone who may know something about the events leading up Dylan’s Perry death following a collision to come forward.

Dylan Perry

His family believes he may have been speaking with a woman originally from the New Glasgow area on Sept. 14, 2013 at Jamesons Irish Pub in Calgary, before he was found later in a stolen car.

“We need somebody to come forward, and we’ve done all we can,” his aunt, Julie Jameson, said.

Calgary Police Service and the RCMP have been working together to piece together the hours leading up to Perry’s death.

It’s believed Perry left the bar at approximately 2 a.m. and got into a 2013 Dodge Challenger.

He then drove towards Bearspaw.

The vehicle went off the road and through a fence on Burma Road sometime around 3 a.m.

Cochrane RCMP responded and Perry was pronounced dead on arrival.

The uncertainty of the evening has left the family without peace.

“My sister isn’t going to settle for, ‘we may never know,’” Jameson said from her Ottawa home. “You have no idea the toll this has taken.”

Perry was working in the oil industry in Fort McMurray. He had an exam scheduled for the following week to move him up in his field.

Jameson describes him as a responsible man, and doesn’t believe he would steal a car.

She believes his death to be suspicious.

“He was a great guy. He had his life worked out.”

Police are looking for any information that may assist in the investigation. They are asked to contact Cst. Hayley Flynn at the CPS District 1 Office at 403-567-6100 or to contact Crime Stoppers anonymously by calling 1-800-222-8477, visiting tttTIPS.com, or by texting tttTIPS to 274637.
