PORT HAWKESBURY — Two more trial dates were assigned Friday in the case of four people charged in connection with the death last year of a Petit de Grat man.

Dwayne Matthew Samson, 43, who is charged with second-degree murder, and his wife, Carla Ann Samson, who is charged with being an accessory after the fact, made appearances Friday in Supreme Court to receive their trial dates.

Dwayne Samson is now scheduled to stand trial Oct. 20 while Carla Samson is scheduled to stand trial April 27, 2015. Both accused continue their release on conditions.

A third accused, James Joseph Landry, 65, of Petit-de-Grat, is charged with second-degree murder and will now stand trial Nov. 10. Landry continues to be on remand in a provincial jail.

The fourth accused, Craig Claude Landry, 40, of Petit-de-Grat, is charged with second-degree murder and is scheduled to return to court March 26 to set a date for a preliminary hearing. A judge presiding over such a hearing will determine if there's sufficient evidence to send the case to trial. Landry continues his release on conditions.

The charges stem from the June 1, 2013, death of 43-year-old Phillip Joseph Boudreau whose body has never been recovered. Boudreau's overturned boat was found in Petit de Grat harbour with no sign of Boudreau. It is believed he died after being shot.
