Nova Scotia cop car crashed into while trying to follow a suspect

PARADISE - Police are investigating after an Nova Scotia RCMP vehicle was hit by another car on Sunday.

Around noon on Highway 1 near Paradise, Annapolis County, police say the RCMP car was hit by a Honda Accord travelling east as it was leaving a driveway.

The RCMP officer had the emergency lights flashing and was trying to follow a suspect when his car was hit on the driver side.

The 40-year-old officer and four people in the Honda were assessed by paramedics at the scene, and no serious injuries were reported.

RCMP said both cars received “extensive damage” and a Traffic Analyst is now assisting with the investigation.
