AMHERST – A local, leading expert in the field of Alzheimer’s disease will take the stage and give insight into strategies for diagnosis and treatment during an information session ay the Amherst 50+Club.

Professor of Medicine for Dalhousie University, Dr. Sultan Darvesh holds patents on a number of Alzheimer diagnosis technologies and will be the guest speaker for the 52 Croft Street seniors club on Thursday, Jan. 30, at 1 p.m.

“The goal is to get information out to people on developing strategies,” Jack Hilchey with the 50+Club said. “We don’t was people to be scared of the disease. Many don’t know anything about it. There’s good information from the Alzheimer’s Society but having a doctor’s information is helpful.”
