Also faces nine charges of invitation to sexual touching
AMHERST – Twenty-three charges have been laid against a 21-year-old Amherst man, including six child luring charges and nine invitations to sexual touching charges, with girls under the age of 16.

The six separate luring a child charges stem from allegedly using a computer to, without lawful excuse, communicating with four separate persons under the age of 16 for the purpose of facilitating the offence of an invitation to sexually touching.
The incidents allegedly occurred between April 1, and Sept. 30, 2013, in Amherst.
The six separate criminal harassment charges he faces are for allegedly, without lawful authority, repeatedly communicating directly with the same four girls under the age of 16 so that, in all the circumstances, they feared for their safety.
He is alleged to have communicated directly with two of the girls on two separate occasions, and is alleged to have communicated directly, once, with two of the girls.
Five of the six harassment incidents are alleged to have occurred between April 1, and Sept. 30, 2013, while one of the harassment incidents is alleged to have occurred Aug. 18, 2013, in Amherst.
The 21-year-old man is also alleged to have, for a sexual purpose, invited nine separate girls under the age of 16 to use her mouth to touch his body.
The nine invitations to sexual touching incidents are also alleged to have occurred between April 1, and Sept. 30, 2013.
Three of the four girls he tried to lure are included in the nine invitations to sexual touching charges.
He is also charged with the unlawful possession of marijuana.
The incident is alleged to have occurred Oct. 1, 2013, in Amherst.
His defence lawyer has requested that his client take a ‘Not Criminally Responsible Assessment’ and there was no objection from the Crown.
He will have his fitness hearing in Amherst court on Dec. 16, at 9:30 a.m.
The court has placed a publication ban on the proceedings.
The ban reads as follows:
“I order a ban on publication on the names of the alleged victims and any information which might tend to identify them.”
