Melissa Rose Walker of George Street was scheduled to stand trial Wednesday on charges of trafficking in marijuana, possession for the purpose of trafficking in marijuana and breaching a court order.
The offences are alleged to have occurred Sept. 3, 2012, in Sydney.
Walker's former defence lawyer was granted permission Wednesday to withdraw as counsel noting the accused has failed to attend appointments set up for her. The court was also told the accused may now be living in Western Canada.
The court issued an unendorsed warrant meaning when arrested, Walker can only be released after appearing before a judge as opposed to police.
