SPRINGHILL –The annual Christmas parade and craft fair is shaping up to match last year’s expectations.
The craft fair, which coincides with the parade, is already filled to capacity and a waiting-list of potential vendors are awaiting any possible cancellation for their opportunity to table their wares.
“We have a full waiting list,” Leisure Services’ administrative assistant Michelle Herrett said. “We’re at capacity; crafts, goods, jewelry. All sorts.”
The craft fair will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 30, but before that will be the annual Christmas parade.
Last year’s parade was a memorable affair, with some heralding it as the largest in recent memory. Hopes are high to meet or even exceed the number of participants this year. “Staff will be going to businesses and we’re accepting applications,” Herrett said.
The parade is an opportunity for businesses to showcase their Christmas spirit and any businesses or organization interested in participating can contact the community centre at 902-763-3000.
