Janelle Tattrie is getting ready for the Maggie’s Place Spook-A-Rama on Saturday at Spring Street Academy from 10 a.m. to noon. There’ll be arts, crafts, games and snacks all in the Halloween theme.
AMHERST – Children and families are being invited to enjoy a good, scary time at Spring Street Academy on Saturday as Maggie’s Place hosts its annual Halloween Spook-A-Rama.
Festivities run from 10 a.m. to noon and the event is open to children and families.
“The event is primarily targeted for children up to age six and their families, but we’ll take older children as well,” Heather Matthews of Maggie’s Place said. “It’s our biggest event of the season and we’ll have a lot of fun activities and games for the children and even a little trick or treating.”
Last year’s spook-a-rama saw more than 175 little ghosts goblins come out for the morning.
Matthews said there will be a number of arts and crafts events including making ghosts and treat bags as well as marble rolled spider webs, ghost guts and witch’s brew.
There will be an obstacle course, boo bowling and even a witch’s hat ring toss.
Matthews said there’ll also be healthy snacks.
“We also hope people will wear their Halloween costumes because we’ll be doing some trick or treating,” she said.
