SPRINGHILL – On Sunday, Sept. 29, Springhill Police received a report of a break and enter into a residence on upper Mechanic Street.

The subsequent investigation revealed that the break and enter occurred sometime during the weekend while the homeowner was away.

Springhill Police are asking the public to report any suspicious persons or vehicles to police immediately by calling (902) 597-3779 or 911 in the case of an emergency.

 

 

Arrest made

SPRINGHILL – On Saturday, Oct. 5, at approximately 11:45 a.m. Springhill police received a report from a concerned citizen of a break and enter into a residence on Herrett road. Officers attended the address and determined that several items had been stolen from the house.

Later in the day at 12:37 p.m., officers located and arrested a 24 year-old Springhill male. The male has been charged with several property related offences relating to the break and enter.

The male has been remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in Amherst Provincial court.

The items stolen from the residence were recovered.

 

 

Grow op dismantled

SPRINGHILL – On Saturday, Oct. 5, Springhill Police patrol officers along with assistance from members of the Integrated Cumberland Street Crime Enforcement Unit conducted an investigation into the production of marijuana at a residence in Springhill.

A warrant was executed on a residence on South Street in Springhill where a large quantity of marijuana was located. 

A 24 year-old Springhill male was later arrested and is scheduled to appear in Amherst Provincial Court to enter a plea for production of marijuana and possession of more than 30 grams of marijuana.
