Gunshots ring out in Halifax neighbourhood, bullet holes found in home

HALIFAX - Police say no one was injured after gunfire rang out in a Halifax neighbourhood early Saturday morning.

At about 12:15 a.m., calls came into police of gun shots in the area of North Street and Wood Avenue, and Gottingen Street.

Police say two men ran towards a dark-coloured vehicle after shots were fired at the back of a home on Wood Avenue.

Three people were inside, but no one was injured. Police say they found several bullet holes in the side of the residence.

There have been no arrests but police say they have found the getaway vehicle.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
